THE PRESS LIVES BY DISCLOSURES

The man is an award winning journalist who is being used as a scapegoat. When he dies he will be a martyr for lovers of the truth. What breaks my heart is the fact that he has a young family… this world is so evil. #FreeAssange RONA TOPAZ

PLANTING TREES IS NOT THE ANSWER

I live in an area in Nth Lincolnshire where they are piloting carbon capture. https://www.humberzero.co.uk/carbon-capture/

It is more greenwashing. Locals are being fobbed with propaganda. It’s scary what multinational companies will do to avoid reducing carbon. JAYNE GAYLE

IS THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON CLIMATE PROTESTORS SHOULDERS?

How do we remove the bundles $$££€€ etc blocking the ears of our politicians so that scientists have a miniscule chance of getting information about climate change into the listening centres of our corrupt and craven politicians. TARLOCHAN KALIROY

CRITICAL MASS CULTURE

Thoroughly enjoyed the new culture section. As someone of a certain age I remember being newly married and saving up for the very best quality hi-fi we could afford and how we spent hours setting it up and positioning the speakers to identify the sweet spot. Buying a vinyl album was a real experience not only for the music but for the appreciation of the art work and any accompanying notes – all lost in today’s world of streaming as in my opinion is the sound quality.
So many albums to choose from we must’ve had around 500 (not counting ones we lent to friends and never got back!) My son, an audio engineer has them all in his collection now.
My all-time favourite is side 2 Abbey Road. For those not up to speed if you’re downloading start with Here Comes the Sun. GAIL MACFARLANE

Loved the new magazine, looking forward to the next edition. ANN MARCIAL

ASHES TO ASHES

An excellent article. Another important and shocking contrast that this situation highlights is the different approach to British tourists who have holidays curtailed, have lost their suitcases and get showered with ash but are being transported safely to homes in the UK and the approach we have to refugees who may have been travelling for months, even years, virtually destitute, many having their few belongings stolen and are risking the hazards awaiting them, both as they attempt to cross the Channel or are smuggled into the UK and then the shameful way they are treated on arrival. Often they are incarcerated in overcrowded, unpleasant and totally unsuitable accommodation. JO BUCHANON

THE RACE FOR NUMBER TEN IS BESET BY APATHY

“Labour are winning only because they started out so far ahead, and the Tories have spent the past 3 years breaking their own legs!” Thank you. Now that’s a quote I will be keeping in the bank for some time!! LYNNE EDWARDS

I think that minds on the left will begin to focus more sharply as we get into next year. Hopefully all left groups will coalesce to form a new party but it will need the unions on board. MAGGIE GOTHARD
